Being a huge fan of high quality product imagery, I am always amazed at how different people perceive, view and photograph simple everyday items.
I would like to see some creatives ways to photograph products. This includes the use of the product in the image, angle, style of photography, etc.
The more creativity in the image the better.
I plan to judge on creativeness, quality (may include sharpness/correct color/lighting), and composition.
Some examples could be:
Shot on a piece of glass about 4 inches above a slab of polished agate
Shot on white poster board, slight shadow removed, and photoshopped in a new shadow for the floating effect
Lens cap photographed through the front of an 85mm F1.8 lens. Straight from camera, no retouching.
A simple studio shot of a creative personally made necklace. In normal everyday use, but a creative crop and pose.
