Panel of Three images (open theme)

If you ever seek a photographic distinction, from an organisation such as the Royal Photographic Society, for example, you will have to assemble a panel. Your images will be assessed as a panel, as well as individually. How you arrange them in the display is as important as their artistic and technical quality.

For this competition, you must enter one panel of exactly three images. You choose the subject, but your images must be linked visually, and must be displayed to be viewed as a single panel.

The visual link may be by whatever you choose. It may be (for example), by colour, or by subject, or by technique (monochrome, HDR, infra-red, say), or the pictures may tell a story. Entirely up to you!

But, the link must be obvious.

And – this is very important – you must present the images as a harmonious panel. So, for example, you may show them with darker images at top and bottom, and a lighter one in the middle. Or there may be compositional elements that are consistent across the three images, and combine to enhance the three when viewed as you present them.

You'll probably have to plan your panel as three images staked vertically; I don't think there's another way to post them into this thread (but kudos to you if you find a different way of doing it).

Here is how I propose to assess your panel.

Visual impression of the panel.
For this, you need to make sure the images are chosen to match well, as laid out. Think about which you put where.

Consistency of the theme.
For this I need to see the link, and it needs to be strong.

Artistic merit (my own choice; do I like your panel!).
For this I'm looking for memorable and unusual images.

Composition of each image.
For this, I will assess each picture as an individual image, to decide how strong it is on its own,

Technique.
For this I will assess each image as an individual photograph, for technical perfection.

Bonus points.
For creativity, for industry (if you've made the photographs since the competition opened, or they've taken a lot of work to get them), and anything else I feel should be rewarded.

Remember; don't just enter your three best pictures. Choose three good ones, with a clear theme to connect them, and that look good, how you arrange them, when viewed together.

Here are some examples of what I have in mind:

(As I'm curating and judging, I get to show you three panels of mine. You get to post only one of yours!)
