I kept revising my top four while carefully viewing them in there original sizes.

The runners-up shown above were presented in random order. I struggled choosing among this image and the three that follow.
Sabine demonstrated a fine eye in spotting this remarkable reflection. Note the reflection with in the reflection.


Third Place — d_berry
Dave finely chose his POV and captured wonderful textures.
A personal note - Fort Ross is located between cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and California's Highway 1.
The first time I visited, and for many years thereafter, Highway 1 ran right through the center of the fort.
Thankfully, historic preservation has grown in importance.


Second Place — mardoli
Marisa found an unusual sight and presented it in an excellent composition.


First Place — mdejong
Marcel produced an image that is excellent for a number of reasons including the carefully chosen composition and the crispness of the details.
All the images should be seen in their original size in order to be more fully appreciated. This especially true with this fine photo.
