It has now been a full week, with no word from John... is it time to move on and ask robinlew to host & post the next competition?

i agree. if the winner does not post a new competition within a few days, the runner up gets to host the new competition

John cannot go on the show and tell Competition due to a trip in Europe. Therefore the next contest will be now, decided by Robin Lew, second place for the following picture (S&T C rules):

I believe you are a menber of pbase team. I organized the 388th Show and Tell Competition and it seems the process is blocked:
the winner cannot continue for personal reasons; the second place too, and the third place, Markus Grompe is ready to go on the show..

Can you please help us to continue?

I just wrote to Emily directly. I would suggest in the future that photographers not participate in the S&T Competition if they can not carry on in case they win.
