Many thanks to everyone who participated in this contest competition, you have submitted so many great images!
Had really great time looking at all your wonderful stories of fences all around. Not easy to choose only few.
Honorable Mentions in no particular order:
Ken
Margaret
Carol
John
Jarek
Flo
Paul
Gil
THIRD PLACE - Flo - I like the "OUT" position instead of "IN" and how the gees look disappointed.
SECOND PLACE - Carol - beautiful composition and I love the optimistic expression of hope on this boy's face.
FIRST PLACE - Walter - from the beginning this was my first choice though so very sad and dramatic, showing the shame of civilized world. We still remember the Warsaw Jewish Ghetto wall and the East/West Berlin wall, and still nowadays there are new walls being built in Europe to stop the imigrants (in Hungary/Serbia and in Bulgaria/Greece for example).
No fences should ever divide people.
