Thanks for the diverse entries, lots of interpretations of the theme. Generally speaking, I avoided overt symmetry in my choices, which I realized was happening after this got going.

Please look at these images in original size...

Honorable mentions:
John Medlin - this abstract view seems dynamic
Image

John Barreiro- though busy, when viewed large, the leading lines move your eyes around the complex scene
Image

John Hart- classic covered bridge shot at just the right but unusual angle
Image

Flo- just love these blinds, exposed so well and a nice example of seeing beauty in an everyday action
Image

Arnie Peterschmidt- this looks like a classic photographic image from 70 years ago, taken with B/W film on a Leica
Image

Luxun54- the wormy structures leading uphill present an interesting abstract view
Image

Third Place:
Walter Koenig- the lines in this image draw you in and across to the right, and then back around to the left. Clearly a pro quality shot that I hope Walter got paid for by the stadium folks!
Image

Second Place:
Alain Lestrade- The cleanliness and colors of the geometry is attractive; and the symmetry is nicely broken by the people
Image

First place:
Marcel deJong- great light, contrast, and leading lines of the windblown dunes and footsteps
Image

Marcel, it is up to you!

Ok, I just sent this to Emily.

"Hi Emily,

The latest S&T Competition is “stuck” again with the winner not posting the next competition or replying to emails. Can you turn the next competition over to the second place please? Thank you!"

I am amazed how often this happens to the competition. Hopefully everything is ok with Marcel.

Regards,
Walter

Thank you Walter for contacting Emily, I will do so as well. I have been out of the country and just now seeing this. No reply from Marcel. Alain should run the next contest, at this point.

Hi Everybody,

Alain (alain_lestrade) is now all set to host the next competition, and I have sent him an email to let him know.

The email notification that goes out to the winner did not work (changes from the hardware move), but I am will get that fixed right away so that winners get proper notification again.
