As I expected there were a lot of great submissions and judging was difficult. I've looked at all the images several times and really like diversity of the submissions.

Second Place - Jeff - Really like the tones, mood and the expression of the musician who seems ro have become one with his music in this image.



First Place - Marisa - You really caught the moment here. Love her expression and softness, and she seems miles away in her thoughts.

I know your photographic talents and I'm honoured to be appreciated by you.
Actually the theme was very suitable for me. Candid portraits are always a delicate matters, because I don't like stolen pictures, but I don't like posed ones either.
In general I always ask people for their permission, showing them the picture I took, unless they are performing in a public place, like street musicians.
In this case the girl was the waitress of a small restaurant where we often go. She was serving me a beer and I had my camera on the table.
