Commemoration in the street, bals, "Liberté - Liberty" the Jerôme Savary show on the Bastille square and the projection of the movie "Paris brûle-t-il" on the Hotel de Ville square.

Two wonderfull days of emotion... that you will perhaps like to discover :-)

yes, these photo's definately show emotion and evoke it as well, tho maybe not the emotions you would want. While your photos are colorful and show lots of life, I can't help, as an American, being disturbed by the lady wearing the American flag. In our country that disrespects the flag.

Considering the current political climate between our two countries, I have to wonder if the US had given France the same "support" then as we are getting from France now, would the people of France be celebrating today.

Hi Bob, thanks for your post.

"I can't help, as an American, being disturbed by the lady wearing the American flag. In our country that disrespects the flag." Bob... it was a parade showing how much we have been happy to receive your help... There is here, I think, no disrespect.

"Considering the current political climate between our two countries, I have to wonder if the US had given France the same "support" then as we are getting from France now, would the people of France be celebrating today."... Do you really think that it is the same context ?

I wish you could have been in Paris those past days... you will have seen how much french people are gratefull to america.

Sincerely.
Lo.
