I take hundreds of photos in the shipyard but I'd have to say 90% would be boring to anyone else not working on that project or looking for information on a past project. It's something I implemented here at this yard since I've been here..almost 9 years. Whenever I go out to the yard I always take a camera to record what I'm looking for or inspecting. This is an invaluable tool later on when you get back in the office and in meetings. This is one of the huge advantages of digital photography in my field. Artistically though, they don't really rank up there. I've been lucky to record a few historically significant (at least from our viewpoint at the shipyard) photos of our achievements. Sometimes I catch a lucky break every now and then and get a picture which is a keeper. I put my foot in my boot this morning and found a 2 foot garden snake taking up residence. I managed to snap off a few shots..which you can find in another thread here called "Check Your Boots"
