September is the month dedicated to the Mexican Independence, and Hidalgo is known as the father of the country. He is also the Mexican symbol for freedom and independence. Here is a photo of one of the most moving murals I have ever viewed. In 1937 José Clemente Orozco painted this mural called "Hidalgo", in Guadalajara's City Hall. He painted a representation of Hidalgo and images of fire and death, which creates a universal message of human liberation from dominators around the World. http://www.pbase.com/image/21600008
