After a very overwhelming positive responses to my Bodie Ghost Town gallery, I decided to create a new gallery for no other than "The Rock" itself. Alcatraz is truly a surreal experience. When I went there and took the photographs, I felt like I was transported back in time when Capone, The Birdman, and all the other inmates were still there.

Wow, you seem to have been there at a time where there weren't that many people around. I was there in the end of August last summer and there was no way I'd be able to take photos of all the prison cells without people standing in the way. Wonderful work, I'll have to go there again and try to do something similar I used the wide angle lens a lot when I was there though, it worked pretty well for some shots.
