Excellent start, Tom. I like the macros and Kitka makes an excellent subject.

Welcome to pbase. I guarentee if you participate in the forums and visiting and commenting on other Pbasers' galleries you won't find a friendlier and helpful bunch of people anywhere on the web.

Better make some room in your life for some new friends.

Tom,

You have some interesting photos. I would suggest resizing them to something between 650-760 pixels in the widest dimension for easy viewing.

Welcome to PBASE. I have been here a while, but have not been too active until recently. I go if fits and starts on my photography.

Good start on getting galleries and pictures up. You might want to retry the nickle one from different angles with the foreground in focus, the background more in focus. I think coming in at a slightly higher point of view and working it from there-perhaps an off angle. Since you are shooting digital, take lots of pictures of a set up and delete the ones that don't work. I love editing.

I liked the Creepy House. The issue in that one for me is the overblown light. It does communicate a CREEPY feeling.--Rene

Thanks for the comments Rene, i looked at both the photos you commented on and i agree with you on Creepy House photo the light is a bit distracting but in the end i think it adds in a way to the creepy factor. The nickel photo i like the way it is primarily because i want the nickel to stand out hence it is the only object in the photo thats in focus. Thanks again for the comments.
