using a hostname

Post Fri Aug 03, 2007 7:42 pm

Is is possible to link my host name which is http://www.gulayphoto.com with my pbase account. In other words, can I see my pbase web site when I type in http://www.gulayphoto.com? if yes, how can I do it?

Thank you!

Yes, I and many other do it. It has nothing to do with Pbase, but is called "domain forwarding". It's a simple procedure which should be done via your domain control panel. Note that it might take a day or two to work though. And since every domain provider is different, I can't offer specific answers to how you'll need to set it up. Check with your hosting service for specific details if it seems to complicated when you find it listed in your settings. Usually, it's very easy, and pretty self explanatory.

Hmmm, dragging up at old email. But I do have a question. I have a domain name, but where is this domain control panel that is spoken of?
In order to save bandwidth, I no longer have a signiture.
