Third Place to Enrico Martinuzzi!

I love this one! Very simple. Great composition using the rule of thirds. Good choice to convert to a Black and White! Well done Enrico!

Second Place to Xavi Moya!

Really well done! The longer exposure gives such a serene feel to this minimal seascape! Congrats Xavi!

First Place goes to Malcolm Neikirk!!!

This is a fine example of minimalism from composition to subject matter. I love the winter tree, stripped of all signs of life. Strong composition with enough foreground to give us a context. Just two colors, black and white, furthers the minimal photograph. Really well done! Now its your turn Malcolm!

Very nice work everyone, congratulations!

It is a shame however that the people in charge of keeping this site up to date have not bothered to do so on the Pbase entry page. The page still shows: The 62nd Show and Tell Competition is underway in the forums.
This has been going on for sometime now, maybe more people would participate if more interest was paid by the people who collect our Pbase membership fees.

Cheers,

Terry

Well done folks - another great contest!

Didn't enter this one as just can't compete with you guys on the minimalist theme - some real wonderful shots!

Mike :)

couldnt agree more terry. i won the 'family life' challenge (my first win) and they didnt change the main page until i whined and complained for a while. it was hard to contact anyone who could actually make the change. i then won the 'autumn leaves' competition, and that was NEVER changed.

pretty sad.

Thank you for choosing an interesting subject. I am new to this and found the examples of minimalism simple, complex, and most interesting. I am trying my hand at minimalism thanks to you and the many wonderful examples of. Congratulations to all winners and honorable mentions.

I am very pleased to get an Honourable mention. There were so many good examples of excellent photography, a tough job for our judge.
These competitions really do make for improvement in all aspects of our photography, especially composition.
Many thanks to all the entries and everyone involved.
Congratulations to the winner, Malcom.

I am flattered to have had my image selected. That has made my day!

Thank you Anerino for hosting the contest and judging it. And thank you to the other contestants for participating.

I have chosen the theme for the 65th contest. It is Shapes, Patterns and Textures.

While I'm here, may I please mention a couple of others? Firstly Graham, (http://www.pbase.com/grahamjeffries/root) who first told me about PBase. Secondly, the members of Southampton Camera Club (http://www.southamptoncameraclub.co.uk/gallery.htm), from whom I draw so much encouragement, support and help (and thanks to Sarah Lyons who suggested the location where I took the picture I entered).
