As there were so many great entries this was a tough one to judge but I have made my decisions based on interpretation of the theme, composition and overall impact. There were some very memorable shots that I just kept coming back to.

3rd place goes to Randall Fox for this beautifully simple image from Yosemite. Great composition and feel with the cloud wrapping the rock.
2nd place goes to jaac for this wonderfully dark image. It’s 100% on topic and the lighting and composition is exquisite. I love the positioning of the child’s red top against the blue sky contrasting with the yellowish light on the right side. And it’s all sandwiched between the heavy sky and the wet rocks - lovely!
And 1st place goes to Brad Claypole for this technically excellent and (I imagine) very difficult to execute photo of a train in the snow. Talk about impact! This unusual image really stood out for me.
