some great sunsets, some fines monks, some pictures where i wondered if people know how orange looks like ...

Sorry,
but I have to disagree with the winners choices. There were quite a few entries for the topic "orange" that were better from a photography standpoint that the one chosen. I think that a brief explanation/justification of the choice should be part of the routine....
Judging is always subjective, but nonetheless... :?: :cry:

I both agree and disagree with this. I have no issue with the choices, and I like the winning photos. What I am beginning to miss, though, is the judge's commentary regarding the winning choices. I really like knowing why the judge chose the winning images and why those images stood out among the all the entries.

But that's just me. :D

not much to explain: third place because it's a quite unique way to present orange, second place because i like the simplicity, first place for the witty presentation of orange.

I am sorry you did not feel the Photo was worthy of winning, as you mentioned.
It is all subjective.
