(Closed)110th Show and Tell Competition: The last 8 years

I was going to host this competition with the theme "Remembrance" due to the fact a friend of mine, Barbara Southard, sent me a lovely book of her newly published poems called Remembrance as a gift for the holidays. Piece of cake I thought until I tried to find shots I took to use as examples. Ugh! Very Hard! Since the last contest was "Change" I thought a better, more focused topic would be what comes before change. The last eight years have seen wars, economic up and downturns, things profoundly horrific, things profoundly beautiful and of course the explosion of digital photography. I'll be looking for photos that if viewed 50 years from now would immediately tell the viewer that it was taken (as I refer to this decade) in the Oh Oh's. Of course they don't have to be political, Blue state,Red state, Bushed or Obamazied. I'm looking for photos that when someone hosts the 20,275 Show and Tell competition they might stumble across this one and humbly say to themselves.. Oh Yeah, I remember that!! Good luck!

Sporting events and teams can always be dated. In the past 8 years, the Philadelphia Phillies rose to win the World Series. Hopefully it will happen again in this century, but just in case:



Here is a venerable point-and-shoot digital camera of ~2003, disassembled. I suspect that in 20 years or more, the components of digital photography devices won't look anything like this.
