I don't know if the next winner will continue to include this information in this contest instructions, or perhaps in the rules, but I'm not sure newbies to this contest are always aware that if you win, you are then given the opportunity to run the next contest. More importantly, if you don't care to do so or don't feel up to it, you are free to decline and the current contest manager will then offer that opportunity to one of the other winners. WELCOME TO THE 112TH SHOW AND TELL CONTEST

Since I just purchased a new macro that I haven't used yet, I'd like to repeat a contest that was last run back in 2005. I'd really love to see your very best and fabulously artistic MACRO shots. Inspire me with your creativity of captures of anything and everything shot in Macro or Close Up... from the ever popular flower shots, to everday items like pencils and paper clips... and hey, even spiders! I'll be focusing (pun intended) on the artistic use of dof. Here's the winner from the 2005 contest as an example (because I don't have any fabulous macros yet!). Remember, macros don't need to be just florals. A variety of subjects would be fun!



I will not consider photos that are not properly posted (no more than 3 pics, medium size and embedded - see rules below). However, I will be VERY happy to help anyone who is struggling with this, as I did the first time I entered this contest. Just email me with any problems. Please don't give up. It's very easy, once you get the hang of it!

THE COMPETITION WILL CLOSE ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21st, 8PM US PACIFIC COAST TIME.

2. Photos must be embedded in your post. See

4. Only enter up to 3 photos per-contest.
5. The host is not eligible for their own contest.
6. Any picture you've taken is eligible regardless of time taken and camera.
