114th Show & Tell Competition: Converging Lines

There is a wonderful tradition here at PBase in this Show and Tell Competition. When you win, the prize is work and responsibility . But then again, we all owe something back to our art, and after being selected from such an astute group, it is my honor to pay the price. I have submitted many photographs over the past few years, but only won once before , way back in contest #17. So although it has been a long while, I think I remember the process.

After looking at the list of past competitions, I noticed that there has never been a topic on lines. Since converging lines are normally spoken of as a key element to composition, how about some pictures where the lines themselves are all of the story? Unusual angles, different perspectives, ways of looking at things that most people would not think of. So that is the topic this week:

Converging Lines

Here is an example of what I am thinking about, taken at the Brooklyn Bridge.



I am not looking for railroad track pictures, or roads across the desert, or things like that. No one is getting off that easy. Be different. Be adventurous. Be daring. And by the way, extra credit will be given for any image taken after this challenge is posted.

Now remember; If you win, you get to do this next week. And even worse, then YOU have to judge the entries....and that is no easy task. Ask any past winner. But I am sure you are all up the the challenge.
