Topic: Interesting and Dramatic Formations
I'm WOWed by some of the fabulous natural formations I see in pbase shots. Places I'd love to shoot, but haven't gotten there yet, like the rock stacks along the Oregon coast and the Twelve Apostles and Ayers rock in Autralia, formations throughout Utah, like delicate arch in Arches NP and The Wave in Escalante NP, and some of the amazing geology of Africa. I want to see more!! So go ahead - make me jealous as all get out with your sensational shots of rock formations, tufas, arches... whatever impressive natural formations you've encountered, so I can update my Bucket List of places to shoot before I die. I'll be looking for not only for unusual and impressive formations, but also special moments with them and excellent photography. Good luck!
Here's a bit of geology I've been fortunate enough to shoot...
My all time favorite - Mono Lake
Off the beaten path - Pyramid Lake
Drama of Escalante National Park - Utah
Soberana's Point (and a sobering descent to the beach), Big Sur, California
Even though the automated system includes a link to the rules, I like to include them here too. Less confusion that way.
