Hello All!

Thank you very much to all the participants for sharing their beautiful images!

Honorable mentions go first:

Cafe WHA of Terry Bowker. Joyful rainbow-colored image making me see the world in more optimistic way. Thank you Terry!

The Image of Minorka of Peter Robertson shows calmness of Spanish august afternoon. I like soft pastel tones of the image.

I also like the composition of Juan Leon's image "From Above":

The 3rd place goes to Bernd Koenemann for this mostly BW composition:

The 2nd place goes to Nelson for his romantic image "On the Rue Mouffetard". Truly cafe scene! Thank you very much!

Now the Winner of the contest:
The image has caught my eye immediately after submission and I returned to it over and over. Somehow it makes me think of the infinity and finitness; imagine the story of the Reader or maybe the Writer, or maybe the Observer (especially as he or she likes Agatha Cristie if I understand right  )
So! The First place award goes to tgriffen for the image with glasses.

Congratulations!

Thank you in the name of all four-eyed Agatha Christie lovers of the world. :D

I am shocked that anyone recognized Lady Agatha from this rather obscure book (not one of her better known). And yes, I own a paperback edition of just about everything she ever published. Because she wrote for so long, reading her books is like a study of changing times from the exuberance of the Empire days and the elegance of Art Deco, through the days of upheaval of the war, to the days of uncertainty and old age. Every time I visit UK, I travel to places from her books. She lives not only through her characters, but through the record of the times she lived in.

I haven't been to the St Mary Churchyard yet, where she is resting. I will, one day. For now I pretend she is still writing.
