189th Show & Tell Competition: Natural Light on Something -

What can I say but, WOW. I really opened a can of worms with this theme. You all put on quite a show, making me work.
I have to say the entries where all extremely good and this was one very hard group to judge, with the high quality and quantity.
So many great pictures, and having to chose out of them, well it was very hard for me, all the works left out were also winners.
Like Sandi's forest shot, Norman's car on the road in a sliver of light, sweet.
I know I looked at all fun screen and many more than once, was fun to see the ideas and outstanding art.
Mike's light through the door and Dominic's Owl winter capture was breath taking, man this was not easy to pick "winners".

I was honored to be chosen winner last time and glad some many people found the theme interesting.
Keep this in mind, art is subjective and the winners listen is just a few of the many I loved.
So with out further babbling here are the listed ones.

All of the HM could as well been either in the top three or winner. The order is random.
The all out quality shown in the theme made me look at all the pictures over several times.

Honorable Mention Image
Suzy's use of light and the direction of angle was icing to the cake of swirling fish!

Honorable Mention Image
Juan did a fine job of capturing the light on the beach with a bit of minimalism.

Honorable Mention Image
Peter's detail on the element was perfection.

Honorable Mention Image
Bartosz's use of color and light was outstanding, a job well done.

Honorable Mention Image
Scott your timing and light can be appreciated by anyone who has tried to take a picture of cats.

Honorable Mention Image
William captured not only good light but nice diagonal composition.

Honorable Mention Image
Sergey's use of the light through the fruit is excellent, great job sir.

3rd Place Image
Stunning work Andrzej, any one of the winner could have been first.

2nd Image
GP's picture is one of simple flow with a complex theme, loved it first time I saw it.

1st Place Image

The winner is Juan, for what I found it simple and elegant right to the point of the theme, it touched me.
It was a picture I kept coming back to, congrats Juan.

I was also glad to see so many people turn out, it made it very hard to choose.
Not kidding, I take it seriously and thou subjective I try to look at all pictures large.
Make my choices after looking over everyone and trying to be objective.

Thank you very much for all the comments and specially Dennis for selecting mi image as the winner. I have been entering this contest for a while now and always said it would be difficult to judge one. Well, now is my turn and looking forward to it.
I will post the new contest topic later on today.
Thanks again.
