194th Show & Tell Competition: 3:1 Panoramic Landscape

Post Sat Apr 16, 2011 9:29 am

Making fine art Panoramic Landscapes could hardly be described as a job.
Its altogether too much fun!
Panoramic Landscapes are usually 3:1 and sometimes 2:1.
Sometimes they are way bigger but when printed lack the natural attraction of a 3:1 print.
At first it can be a challenge to SEE and compose in the panoramic format.
Here are a couple to whet your appetite.

Canola Storm

Heartbreak

Lower Kalimna Falls

Disrepair

Best of luck - and I would love to see you have a crack at naming your images....

I have done very few of this format, all from Iceland. To be true none is actually 3:1

Points to Ponder

Highlights of the Morning

This next one is not distorted by fisheye lens or the method of stitching shots together, etc. This is Matapouri Bay on the North Island of New Zealand. It is almost a perfectly circular little bay.

Circular Flow
