I thought it would be easy to select the winners, but I hesitated a lot between many pictures. So thank you all for your support. It is not easy to pay homage to Henri Cartier-Bresson as his images are very hard to emulate, and I was very happy about the quality of the posts.
Honorable mention, in no special order:
THIRD***PLACE
Margaret Lew’s moment is very evocative of the multiple pictures HCB took of behind the window scenes. I like the contrast between the naked mannequins and the warmly dressed woman.
SECOND***PLACE
This picture by Robin Lew immediately attracted my attention, with such a contrast; the movement of the man walking, looking ahead and the bizarre men sitting and watching, and a straight geometry.
FIRST***PLACE
Juan Leon’s picture reminds me of the classic HCB picture of a man jumping over a puddle. There is a sense of movement; the boy jumps and barely makes it, while another boy watches. The succession of pictures, while not in the HCB tradition, works very well. Congratulations Juan!
