Thank you very much for your great participating! :) For me it's was difficult to decide, and I haven't made it easy for me. To my mind all photos are potentially winners. But I had to decide, and I did it.
I used three criteria as basis for my choice. At first the quality certainly: everybody looks at a well-made photo with pleasure. The second one: How much does the the picture say... is it a word, a sentence, or even more than thousands of words. And thirdly, what does the pic NOT say - this is then a part of the fantasy of each one. It's also difficult for me to clothe a thought in words, but let me try...

Now enough verbiage, I'll go in medias res:

HM, but slightly off Topic:

Peter, this is a very, very beautiful picture, but a bit too bright for a low-light shot.

HM's chosen in free order:

Yaron

Maaike

Markus

Peter, this is real low-light and beautiful too

Wayne

Winner's podium:
Third place:

Aldeca, very precise, well seen!

Second Place:

Arnie, thats great, a frozen moment... only her hand is in movement.

First place, and winner:

Dennis, very impressive b&w-shot! The light in the background intensifies the feeling.

Thank you with regards,
Walter

No reason for humblebrag, Dennis! :)

Your photo is a really worthy winner! It meets perfect the three criteria.
Quality and the both forms of expressiveness (see opening post)
