What distinguished this image for me is the way it conveys a sense of place. Iceland is a unique place, with the bleakest and most surreal landscape I have ever come across; this image captures it beautifully. Over to you, Terry!

Thanks for the HM. Since religious buildings have historically been the structures where people have put most of their time and effort, there were a lot of sites to inspire our photography and very competitive entries. Congrats to Terry for a beautiful shot.
