Not the best shot of someone's art but thought it was appropriate for USA this week, the UK artist, Peter Calvesbert designed this several years ago before when Trump called himself a democrat & was not into running for president. Only 28 of this special variation sculpture were made. Funny that is is an elephant!

419th Show & Tell Competition: Art Museum shootings

Today I visited the Art Museum at The University of Arizona. Here are some of the shots I got.

The Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus as a wall-hanging sculpture.

The most important work at the Museum of Art at the UofA is the "Retablo", the Altarpiece from Cuidad Rodrigo, Spain. It was painted from 1480-1488 and has an interesting history to bring it to Tucson. It is primarily from the workshops of Fernando Gallego and Maestro Bartolomé.

Here we see one section of the panel depicting the Creation of Eve from the body of Adam.

My final entry shows damage to one of the panels from the Peninsular War around 1809. I call it "War Torn".

I hope you like them! I hadn't been to the museum in a few years, so it was good to visit again!

Thanks,
Mike
