320th Show & Tell Competition: The Weather

Post Thu May 15, 2014 1:36 am

Greetings, As I write this we have at least nine large brush fires burning in our area. Bone dry drought, current humidity of 9% and temperatures of close to 100F / 38C make for dangerous conditions. It seems floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, blizzards, etc. show us over and over again how powerless we are when it comes to weather. So the challenge this weeks is to show us your best images when it comes to the weather. It must not be disasters only, you can also show us examples of beautiful weather as well. It's all about the weather.
I looked up old S&T Competitions, and the last time the Weather was a topic was for No. 13 back in 2006, so it's timely to do this again. Have fun. I've included a few images of mine below just as examples, but please feel free to be as creative as you wish.

Best Regards,
Walter

Foggy morning on the golf course. Bad for golfers, good for photographers.

Clear sunrise over our city.

I took this picture on a day out with a couple of friends. It was a warm summer day, and this was taken maybe 10 minutes after a heavy cloudburst. The air got very hazy and damp very fast, and just then the setting sun burst through turning everything pink and purple.

On the same walk.
